NCHC welcomes author & historian Dr. Jeffrey O. G. Ogbar as he shares the remarkable story of how African Americans transformed Atlanta, the former heart of the Confederacy, into a mecca for Black arts, culture, and shifts in today’s political scene.

Mar 20: How Tuberculosis Changed Culture

NCHC presents Vampires, Cowboys, & Miniskirts: How Tuberculosis Changed Culture by Melissa Dickson Jackson, English professor at University of West Georgia.  Tuberculosis, though largely forgotten in America, left a remarkable impression on Western culture. Join us to learn how TB influenced music, art, literature, philosophy, and your experience of life in America.

Apr 24: Shakespeare Smackdown

NCHC teams up with the Lacuna Group Theatre Collaborative to revive this beloved FUNDRAISER!

Join us a rowdy evening of individuals & teams competing in a rowdy night of artistic achievement & bardolatry, complete with cheers &  jeers from the crowd.
